Laura Pustarfi, Ph.D., is a writer, creative, and integral ecologist.

Her scholarly work is at the intersection of philosophy, ecology, and religion, and she is adjunct faculty at the California Institute of Integral Studies in Philosophy and Religion. She completed her doctoral work in Philosophy and Religion with a focus on Ecology, Spirituality, and Religion at the California Institute of Integral Studies. She is currently working on a volume co-edited with Dr. David Macauley, The Wisdom of Trees: Thinking Through Arboreality, expected to be published in 2025 by SUNY Press. Laura is the co-author with Sam Mickey and Adam Robbert of "The Quest for Integral Ecology," Integral Review 9, No. 3., and has presented at the several academic conferences including those of the International Association for Environmental Philosophy (IAEP), TORCH Oxford, the Pacific Association for the Continental Tradition (PACT), and the International Society for Environmental Ethics (ISEE). She also has an enduring interest in the arts.

Her professional background includes events and project management, research, analysis, and writing for both business and non-profit organizations. She is the Director of the Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research Certificate Program at CIIS where she is responsible for the administration of the certificate program training mental health professionals in the field of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area on occupied Indigenous territory of the Coast Miwok and Southern Pomo, now recognized as the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria .
