If you would focus your eyes on a tree and clear away your preconceived idea of a tree as a name or a word – “tree,” as you have been taught — you would learn how to look. You would learn how to appreciate a tree. You would see every movement of its leaves and experience its color, its odor, and everything – all aspects of the tree. You would be able to appreciate that tree and to see it thoroughly and fully.
